Despite being woefully behind, Miriam Moskvich, who is new to the game, missed a sign but laid down a textbook perfect bunt, led the team with an 800 on base percentage and scored every time she reached base to show her teammates why we bother.  Despite being woefully behind, Julia Tomcho and Hannah Moot each played the gamed injured showing their teammates perseverance, dedication, love for the game, and that’s the point.   Despite being woefully behind, Lindsey Sternberg sent a rocket careening into right field for a stand up homerun and 3 RBIs, showing her teammates why true players don't give up and the games not over 'til it's over.  The score of last night's modified softball game does not show grit, determination, and never say die attitude some players have, but the coach, parents, and opponents know the Lady Warriors didn't lay down and cry.  They kept their heads up and played with pride.
