                                              Day“4”

 

The Madison County American Legion Oratorical Contest Scholarship Program application is available in the counseling center. Students must be able to speak publicly and have a deep understanding and appreciation of the US Constitution. At the state level of this competition the first place winner gets $6,000.00 scholarship. It is open to grades 9-12. Deadline: November 17th.

 

Any student wishing to retake a Regents exam in January please sign up in the Counseling Center. This includes students wishing to retake a Regents exam for a higher grade.

 

Sophomore class Hat Day is Wednesday.  Pay $1 and wear a hat of your choice.

 

There is a freshmen class meeting today after school in the Library. If you can't make it, please see Mrs. Roher.

 

Lunch today is: Baked Ziti, Italian Bread, and Corn.

 

SPORTS NEWS:

 

Congratulations to Girls Soccer they are 4 seed in Class D Sectionals and will host Copenhagen on Tuesday Oct. 17th at 5 pm at the High School on the Stadium Field.

 

Football will play Weedsport in the 8th week cross over game on Friday night at the college with a 7:00 pm start time.

 

Tonight, come out and support our lady warriors as they host Copenhagen in round one of the sectional tournament.  Game time is 5:00 P.M.

 

The modified field hockey team lost a close game to Sherburne Earlville last night, 1-0. Clare Akers had 3 excellent saves in goal to keep it a close game. Come support the team tomorrow at home at 4:30 for their last game!

The FCA will be having its first meeting on Monday after school in the South Cafeteria. The FCA is a student led group that will meet on Mondays to experience, discus, and better understand Christian Fellowship. If anyone wishes to attend please contact Mr. Kent.

The modified field hockey team lost a close game to New York Mills on Friday, 1-0. Clare Akers had 6 saves in goal. The team’s record is now 6-3-1 and is back in action today at Sherburne-Earlville.
