                                           “Day 1”

Just a reminder to those students who took a course at Morrisville State College during the fall 2018 semester: You must return your books to Mrs. Cesta in the Counseling Center by December 18th. 

Those students who met with ACCES-VR are reminded to turn in your completed application to Mrs. Cesta as soon as possible

Any student that is available Saturday morning for a few hours of community service, please see Mrs. Roher in the Library.

Lunch today is: Chicken Fajita, Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese.

The Clothes Closet will be open for all boys today. Come shop for yourself, or get Christmas presents for your family!

                                              “Day 3”

The Clothes Closet will be open for all boys tomorrow. Come shop for yourself, or get Christmas presents for your family!

Attention seniors: There is an opportunity for you to earn community service hours to and have fun by going to the elementary school (pre-k through 2nd grade classrooms) to read a Christmas book with a class, create and ask comprehension questions, and do a craft related to the story with students. Sign up outside Mrs. English’s room by today if you are interested.

Attention chamber choir members, please plan to meet with Mr. McCarthy at 2:30 in the auditorium for a quick rehearsal today.  We need one more run-through before tonight's concert. 

Attention students attending the field trip to the Syracuse Stage: On Thursday please dress appropriately, which means no hoodies, camo, hats, or ripped jeans.

SPORTS NEWS:

The Lady Warriors Volleyball team traveled to the town of Webb last night. Both Squads were tested and ended up short of a victory.

The JV squad lost in 3 showing some true grit: Scores for the match were 17-25, 25-23, 12-25….  Current overall record is 2-4

Leading with 4 assists 2 kills and 5 aces was Aeryn Jackson,  she was accompanied by Cassidy Huffine who contributed 4 kills and 4 aces… while Cynthia Marsala added 3 aces, 3 kills and 1 assist. 

Our Varsity program lost in 5 sets showing coming back from 2 sets down and duking it out until the end:  Scores were 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 20-25…… Current overall record is 3-3

Leading stats for varsity :

Ariana Hilliard            31 Assists  2 digs and 3 aces
Kim Chandler            13 kills   3 blocks and 6 aces
Kendra Waltz            12 kills 21 digs and 4 aces

Both squads will travel to Mt Markham this Friday.

                                            “Day 2”

Seniors are reminded that some college application deadlines are approaching. Please see Mrs. Cesta with any questions you may have regarding your application. It is recommended that College applications be completed by December 20th.

Attention all students: The Clothes Closet will be open for all girls today, and open for all boys on Thursday December 13th. Come shop for yourself, or get Christmas presents for your family!

Any junior still wishing to register for the free Colgate University SAT prep program-"Let's Get Ready", must complete your registration by December 20th. See Mrs. Cesta in the Counseling Center with any questions.

There will be an NHS meeting today after school in room 114.  Please see Mrs. Healy or Mrs. Kent if you cannot attend.

The coin collection for a contest for the Community Christmas program has begun. Please bring in your extra change and put it in your class jar. The class who brings in the most coins will be handsomely rewarded!!

Last night the Morrisville Eaton modified wrestling team wrestled against several different teams at Canastota....winning for the Warriors included:

Tyler Schlotzhauer won 1 match by pin

Levi Doroshenko won 1 match

Tim Eaton won 1 with a pin

Also wrestling for the Warriors were:

Luke Brayman won 2 matches

Zach Canning won 1 by pin

Kyle Peavey with 2 wins with both being pins

Blake Perry won 2 with 1 being a pin

Shawn Murray won 2 both being pins

The lady warrior’s volleyball team hosted Remsen last night and both the JV and varsity team won decisively. JV improves their record to 2-3 overall.  Last night’s scores were 25-19, 15-25, 25-15 Hailey Hoffman let with 8 assists ,2 kills and 2 aces.  Also contributing was Aeryn Jackson with 6 kills and 5 aces and Cynthia Marsala with 3 kills and 4 aces.

Varsity improves their overall record to 3-2 beating Remsen 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.
Varsity was led by Lexus Eaton with 12 assists 3 digs and 2 aces. Kendra waltz and Julia Patrick shared in the kill category with 5 each and Kim chandler added 4 kills and two blocks.

Both squads travel to old forge tonight.

Tyler Schlotzhauer winning 2 matches both by pins

Levi Doroshenko winning 3 matches with 3 being pins

Tim Eaton with 2 wins both by pin

Brendyn Chapman with 2 wins with 1 being a pin and Lynden Priest added a tie to end the day.
