The Clothes Closet will be open after school today for girls, and Thursday, September 27th for boys. This is open to EVERYONE!! Come shop and get some new threads for the fall!

The PTO is looking for volunteers to supervise kids during their monthly meetings. This is a great opportunity to acquire community service hours! See Ms. Tucker for details.

Students are reminded that they must make any schedule changes by this Friday, September 28th. 

Attention Senior’s: Morrisville State College will be hosting a SUNY Financial Aid Day. This is a free event that allows you and your parents the opportunity to complete your free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) with assistance from experts in the financial aid field. The event will be on Saturday, October 13th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Charleston Hall Cyber lab. See Mrs. Cesta in the Counseling Center for more information.

School physicals are being held Thursday, October 4th.  Please sign up in the Health Office.  A reminder to anyone planning to participate in winter sports...you must have a current physical to be eligible.  If you are unsure of your status, please follow up in the Health Office before next week.

Attention all students grades 9 -12th: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is inviting any student in grades 9 - 12th to attend tomorrow’s introductory meeting. The meeting will be held in the South Cafeteria at 2:20. Anyone interested in Christian Fellowship, discussing the moral challenges of teenagers today should attend.  See Mr. Kent for more information.

Today, Wednesday, and Friday this week and continuing all year, the tutoring center will be open during 7th period in room 108.  Stop in with a pass for any academic need. Students can stay for part of the period or the entire time.

Attention LEO club members and anyone looking for Community Service Hours. There is a sign up outside Mrs. Palmer’s door for the CATCH family day this Saturday from 10-2. Please see Mrs. Palmer for more details.

 

Are you looking for community service hours? Volunteers are needed to help with the Madison County Monday Mile Day, at the elementary school. If you would like more information, please see Ms. Tucker.

Attention cast of Little Shop.  The rehearsal schedule for this week is posted on the call board.  Please stop by and grab a copy to take home to your parents.

Attention all student’s school picture order forms have been given out to all your English teachers. Please take them home. Picture day is Wednesday, October 3rd. Any questions, see Mrs. Roher in the Library.

Any student interested in applying to a Service Academy or R.O.T.C. program is invited to attend Syracuse Service Academy Night. Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine and ARMY R.O.T.C. This event will be at Onondaga Community College, Storer Auditorium, on Tuesday, September 25th at 6pm. See Mrs. Cesta for more information

Attention band and chorus students, please get your pie orders and money in to Mr. McCarthy by this afternoon.

REMINDER:  Please turn in your code of conduct forms to the main office as soon as possible.  They are overdue!

SPORTS NEWS:

Over the weekend, the girls Varsity Soccer team defeated Otselic Valley 5-0 in nonleague play. The offense opened up matching their season total goals scoring five in the victory. Leading the way were Emma Basher with 2 great break away goals. Kendra Waltz showing great range from midfield scoring 2 goals. Last goal scored by Caitlyn Bennett on a great left foot shot from 30 yards out. The defense led by Lauren Rodriguez, Kirstin Grabow, Amy Jacobs, Brynn Bikowsky, Allison Sternberg, and Elizabeth Marsala secured the shut with 80 minutes of tenacious defense. Lauren Rodriguez had 3 saves in goal. Next up for the ladies is Herkimer at home at 6:30 PM on the stadium field.
