The NHS would like to thank all who donated at the blood drive yesterday. It turned out to be very successful! We had a total of 40 people donate, and even some who signed up for Double Donation!

It is very important to have blood donors. According to the Red Cross, every two seconds, someone needs blood. Nearly 7,000 units of platelets and 10,000 units of plasma are needed daily in the U.S. That's all used for medical procedures such as different types of surgery and conditions like sickle-cell disease, which require frequent blood transfusions. Each donation can potentially save more than just one patient. It is estimated that although 38% of the U.S. population can donate, less than 10% actually do. Our donors are making an impact upon the world and other people's life! Let's give them a big round of applause!

Lunch today is PBJ Lunches  to go.
